Companies House introduced the confirmation statement system in June 2016. It’s designed to make filing company information simpler than before and offers greater flexibility when it comes to deadlines for the submission of reports.
The confirmation statement also helps Companies House to have more up-to-date information about your company.
All limited companies and LLPs must send a confirmation statement once every year, even if the company or the partnership is dormant. A confirmation statement usually contains:
- Standard Industrial Classification code (SIC)
- Shareholder information
- Trading status of shares
- Statement of capital
- Exemption from keeping a track of People with Significant Control (PSC)
